At the end of this sixteen hour MFR class, students will be able to identify, evaluate and treat the following: Adaptive shortening of soft tissues and muscles, trigger points, postural dysfunction, low back and sacroiliac pain, emotional and/or energetic holding of stress, pain & dysfunction, neck & back pain, headaches, difficult/complex patients, and scar tissue.

Student will learn: Contraindications and Precautions,
Anatomical changes in the pregnant woman, Massaging safely and confidently with pregnant clientele, Basic and advanced techniques for all the pre-natal stages, How to assist pregnant clients safely on and off the massage table
Massaging in semi-recline and side-lying positions, Causes and treatment for: sciatic pain, round ligament pain, low back and pelvis, rib constriction, calf cramps and much more. Demonstration and hands on practice.

What You Need To Bring to Class:

Dress in loose fitting clothing, One set of sheets, One bath towel, Massage crème or lotion (no Oil), Four “Firm” bed pillows. Optional: Wedge pillow, Five foot long body pillow, Extra set of sheets and bath towel

Dr. Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage

Basic Full Body (5 day) Course

This is an intensive course in the study and application of Dr. Vodder's Manual Lymph Drainage, involving extensive hands-on work. The basic strokes ant their application to each of 9 body parts are taught. The Theory covers anatomy and physiology of the lymph vessel system, connective tissue, effects of MLD and contraindications. Lymphedemas are described.

Reflexology: 2008

The student will learn the Ingham Reflexology Techniques of assessing reflex areas on the feet that correspond to the whole body. This proven International System used for over 50 years, will teach the fundamentals of thumb and finger pressure to relieve pain, anxiety, and stress, improve circulation and lymph flow, aide the immune system and tap into the body's own natural wisdom. This course consists of theory and practical application. A wonderful addition to your massage practice or for anyone to learn for their own health improvement.
