The Medical Massage Certification Course Level 1 focuses on specific medical conditions of the Upper Body; Neck and Shoulders (neck strains, headaches, upper/midback problems, and rotator cuff strains),and Lower Body; Lower back, Hips, Knees, Feet and Ankles (sciatica, shin splints, chondro-malacia, and plantar fascitis). The studies will also include learning charting skills, assessments, and treatment planning. There are 20 hours of classroom instruction and 55 hours of supervised hands on work. You will be provided with resources and instruction on how to become an Insurance Provider for various insurance plans in WA. State. You will be prepared to confidently treat patients with specific medical conditions in various types of medical offices. The Massage Therapist Certification Program is a prerequisite for the Medical Massage Certification Program Level 1.
Gino Agostinelli, BA, LMP, CPT., is the Director of AICM's Medical Massage Program. Gino is a graduate of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy, and has practiced massage therapy since 1988. Throughout his career, Gino has worked exclusively with Medical Practioners, Physicians, Chiropractors, and rehabilitative massage and enjoys educating his patients on injury prevention and improved body mechanics/functions.

Program Prerequisites:
- Graduates from AICM's Massage Therapist Certification Program or approved transcripts of graduates with LMP Certification
- 74% or higher GPA
- Professional Interview with Medical Massage Director
- 1 Professional letter of recommendation (School Director, Instructor, Health Care Professional)
- 1 Personal character letter of recommendation
